We
can easily gauge open people if they love to read
the bible, repenting, had started standing up in family
and friends, initiating with us and had started coming
to church. When Anthony Galang pointed these out in
his lesson in one of morning devotionals held in McDonald's
MCS, Rhizza's name flashed my mind. She was in fact
in that devo class that time. After each bible study,
she would text me either to thank me or to re-confirm
my challenge to her. And she would really do the challenge.
I'm impressed how she progressively extended her circle
of disciple-friends, a good indication of her humility
to initiate and build relationship (But of course,
I wouldn't set aside the fact that the stormers were
really so encouraging to befriend Rhizza as well).
She was consistently having her quiet time everyday
and she got her quiet time notebook to journal her
learning. Rhizza certainly passed those decisive factors
for open people.
On
a personal note, the campus storm campaign unlocked
my timid approach in her conversion for I would only
set up her bible study before in my most convenient
time. She actually had started studying the bible
prior to the drive. Nonetheless, the storm thrust
my way through the throng of laziness and faithlessness.
When Anthony discourse the topic of open people
and follow up, it persuaded me to progress Rhizza's
switch to godliness and having genuine relationship
with Jesus in the soonest way through GOD's grace.
And I thank the LORD that Rhizza was firm in her decision
to become true disciple of Jesus ASAP.
Surely,
the campaign made a major contribution on Rhizzas
repentance. She witnessed the zeal of other disciples
who have common goal of bringing glory, honor and
joy to the LORD as campus students. The press on lessons
and maximum support from the campus leaders made a
radical impact on her fresh godly convictions. She
made new awesome friends. She knows now that she needs
to go out and make disciples. And she aims now in
striving each day to love GOD back with all of her
heart, mind, soul and strength!
The
Makati family planted the seed on Rhizza's but the
stormers watered her all the way to her blossoming
new godly life and the LORD made it victorious for
her to be our newest sister in the LORD in the campus
family. Thank you GOD!

MOVING
FORWARD
"We
don't stop learning once we graduate. In fact,
graduation is simply moving forward from a
small university to the biggest one. The university
is called planet earth and there is only one
course, B.S. Life and we are all enrolled
in it. There is only one semester and it ends
on the day you die or when Jesus comes back,
whichever comes first. There are only two
grades possible on examination day: pass or
fail. Whether or not we are ready for examination
day, will be determined by what we learn during
the course." read
